Hello Dear One,
I hope you are finding delights to appreciate today. My latest delight has been adopting a kitten last month—meet Amorzito! His name means little love in Portuguese. Earlier today, he snuggled up with my latest read and I couldn’t resist the perfect picture for this letter to you.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I have decided to share an old poem with you. My friend Brian Montanaro wrote a beautiful guitar soundtrack to it. We recorded this little voice memo in the Summer of 2023 together. Hope you enjoy it!
Without wax,
Silvana
P.S.
Here are the words to the poem:
My darling, you are ever so loved.
The stars look down upon you
with their adoring eyes
the moon smiles,
and beings beyond
what you can know
or understand
are loving you.
If this teaches you nothing else,
remember—
that I love you.
I love you whether you are
my closest friend
or the furthest stranger
from the land I call home.
I love you
and this land is not my home
for your heart is my home
and my heart is yours
and everything that keeps us apart
is an illusion.
